A 4-hour reception is not enough? Your crowd loves to party! An after-party is a perfect extension of your wedding day. The RW Events staff recently had the unique opportunity to assist several clients with after-parties and just wanted to offer the following advice to brides that are considering this option:
- Create the buzz – consider invitation inserts, mailing a separate invitation, or even using the bridal party to spread the word for you!
- Location – a local night club, a friends estate home, a smaller ballroom at the reception venue, or even the presidential suite at a local hotel
- Guest Count – You SHOULD invite everyone that attended the reception (including Granny) - typically only 30-40 percent of the initial guest list will attend
- Style – It should not be another formal reception – consider a fun theme such as a vintage carnival or something Latin inspired
- Food – Keep it light… mini burgers, a hibachi station, or a dessert bar
